	Perhaps these are rhetorical questions motivated as much to
shake up the polled as to elicit their opinions.  Perhaps they should
follow more conventional questions and would then elicit contradictory
views.

1. What is your preferred outcome of the Taiwan question?

2. Would you prefer that Taiwan adopt communism?

3. Would you prefer that the mainland adopt capitalism?

4. How about electoral democracy with the Taiwan based Kuomintang
fielding candidates and publishing newspapers?

5. Is there a danger of the communists taking over Taiwan by force?

6. If so should the U.S. prevent it by force?

7. Have the people on Taiwan the right to resist such a takeover by
force?

8. Have the people on Taiwan the right to develop nuclear weapons
if there is a danger of communist takeover by force?

9. If you lived on Taiwan would you favor the development of nuclear
weapons in present circumstances?

10. If Taiwan is taken over, would you favor the U.S. accepting large
numbers of refugees?

11. Which has been more successful economically - the mainland or
Taiwan?  Do you know a numerical ratio?

12. Which has more individual freedom?

13. Which has the smaller fraction living in poverty?

14. Which has more equality of opportunity?

15. Which has more equality of result?
